; Spheroid Demo V0.9aa by Arkanix Labs
; AMIGA ADDICT Magazine 12 level version!
;==============================================================

A demo of a new puzzle game for the Amiga, exclusive to AMIGA
ADDICT Magazine!

;==============================================================
; Machine Requirements
;==============================================================

Spheroid will run on any OCS/ECS/AGA Amiga with at least 1Mb
of RAM and versions 1.3 up to 3.1 of AmigaOS.

;==============================================================
; Loading, Installation & Configuration
;==============================================================

The demo version of Spheroid will run from both floppy disk
and hard drive and requires no special configuration.

To boot from floppy, insert the disk in drive DF0: and the
game will load and run automatically.

The game will not yet load and run from floppy on a machine
that has OS 3.1.4 or higher, but will run if copied to a
hard drive.

To play using a hard drive, create a drawer called 'Spheroid'
on your chosen partition then copy the main game file and the
data drawer from the floppy to your newly created drawer.
Then run the game file to load and play.

; Instructions
;==============================================================

On the title screen, use the joystick to move the red highlight
and press fire to select the option.

The aim of the game is to move your 'spheroid' around the
'maze' to reach the exit within the time limit and set number
of moves. Time doesn't decrease if you're on the move!

Your 'spheroid' is controlled with a joystick, with the
regular up, down, left and right moves.

The status panel shows the safe colours of plain 'tiles' you
can move over on that level. Other colours cause your 'spheroid'
to explode and lose a life!

Those plain tiles that are safe or unsafe can be red, orange,
blue, purple, grey and green.

The other different types of tiles are shown on the title
screen. The attributes of these tiles are...

* voids
	- your ball falls into oblivion

* cracked
	- tile falls away after you move off it

* mine
	- tile explodes after you move off it

* transporter
	- transports your sphere to the other transporter on screen

* grooves
	- vertical & horizontal, can only move in the groove direction

* ice
	- slides your sphere in the direction you were moving

* conveyor
	- moves your sphere in the conveyor arrow direction

* bridge switch
	- activates the 'bridge' tile to cross any gaps

* colour switch
	- changes an unsafe colour tile into a safe colour tile

* wall
	- blocks your path

* exit
	- exits the level!

The first few levels introduce each feature and are relatively
easy! Levels should get harder as you progress!

At level 6 you will be given a passcode to skip the earlier
levels in future play.
